Information We Collect
vMAS may collect basic account and contact information you provide during registration, along with operational data related to your virtual flights and community participation.
vAMSYS Pilot Sign-In (Route Finder)
When you choose to book or dispatch a flight from our Route Finder, you may sign in through vAMSYS using OAuth 2.0 with PKCE. With your consent, vMAS requests limited pilot scopes to read your basic identity and flight data and to create dispatch sessions on your behalf. We do not receive your vAMSYS password.
After sign-in, your browser stores vAMSYS access and refresh tokens in localStorage so you can book
without signing in on every visit. Tokens expire automatically after inactivity and are cleared when you disconnect.
vMAS uses these tokens only to open the vAMSYS Phoenix dispatch screen for routes you select and to
show your signed-in pilot status on this website.
vMASEFB (Discord & SimBrief)
vMASEFB at /efb/ is a pilot-only virtual flight folder. Access requires vAMSYS sign-in, a one-time
Discord verification code delivered by the vMAS EFB bot, and optional SimBrief Pilot ID entry for
briefing sync. Gate and check-in state are stored in your browser; server-side tokens expire after several hours.
SimBrief OFP data is fetched through vmas.my on your behalf using your Pilot ID or Navigraph-linked username. vMASEFB does not store your SimBrief password. Discord verification uses your vMAS server membership and pilot ID in your nickname to confirm roster status.
How We Use Information
We use your information to manage pilot accounts, run events, improve the virtual airline experience, and communicate important operational updates.
Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal data. Information may be shared only with trusted platforms required to operate our community services, including vAMSYS for pilot authentication, booking, and dispatch when you explicitly use those features on vmas.my.
